CRK Obtains Favorable Settlement in Gender Discrimination Case Against State University

CRK represented a tenured female professor who taught in the University of Akron’s Math Department until she was terminated as part of a large reduction in force (RIF) conducted by the University in July of 2020.  The professor brought claims for gender discrimination against the University stemming from her RIF.   The case was resolved for a six-figure number in March of 2023, less than four weeks before the jury trial was to commence.
