Ellen Maglicic Kramer was a founding partner of Cohen Rosenthal & Kramer LLP in December 2002. She graduated cum laude from John Carroll University in 1988 and received her law degree from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review. After law school, Ms. Kramer clerked on the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio for the Honorable R. Guy Cole, Jr., who was subsequently appointed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Ms. Kramer has extensive experience in bankruptcy and other complex commercial litigation. She has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in disputes involving credit guarantees, fraudulent transfers and security interests and has recently represented the successful party in several securities arbitrations.
Ms. Kramer has volunteered for both the Cleveland and Cuyahoga County Bar Associations pro bono bankruptcy projects since 1994, and serves on the Gesu Parish Refugee Committee and Gesu's Interfaith Hospitality Network.
